Nowadays there is no way to communicate to your local community by online means. Being a local authority, community organization, sports club, blogger or business. We allow any viewer get his local news generated by his local community and any poster get his news viewed by thousands of people around him, no friending nor marketing needed. Ex. a blogger can get 100000 views just by posting, no marketing effort necessary. Same goes for organizations. Nothing existing gets even close. Basically there is no “virtual local space” allowing them to communicate effectively to their target audience. Opening the site you see all local news filtered by distance (5 km around by default). 3 categories of free posters, local B2C businesses with paid ads. Any other sorting of news is possible: 100m around, 3 km, music at 10km around, only selected categories, ORGs only, bloggers only etc. The default search is important to create an instant image of local news without waiting for the user to search.
